our anniversary cookbook
"Da haben wir den Salat" is the title of our cookbook, published to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It contains nineteen family favorite recipes from visitors to the women's center, along with short portraits of these women. The culinary journey ranges from Eylin's Swiss "Hacktätschli und Lauchrölleli" (meat patties and leek rolls) to a Bolivian peanut soup that Aurora always enjoyed on her birthday, and a "children's cheesecake," as Gudrun calls it. The cookbook also includes some everyday recipes from the women's center, such as the popular lentil soup in winter and the much-loved watermelon salad in summer.
The book can be purchased for a minimum price of 30.- including shipping costs via email.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Basel frauenOase contact point for women who live on the street, we have created an audio walk on which listeners can listen to conversations with proven experts on six topics that visitors to the frauenOase are confronted with: poverty, homelessness, addiction, violence, mental illness and sex work. The conversations are dedicated to the questions of how these have changed over the last 30 years, what women-specific factors are and what it takes to overcome stigmatisation
